Thompson Center Venture, benched IDEAL conditions ,1 pound trigger done by Mcarbo in Florida.New scope Maven RS4 5X30X56 Seekins low rings . Hornady Superformance 40 grain V-Max. No coyote or groundhog is safe out to 400 yards. The shot off to left was with a Hornady Superformance 32 grain V-Max.I'm sticking with the 40 for now as coyotes hunting is heating up.The Thompson has a 1/10 twist which handles all weight ranges from 24 to 45 grains.I've used them all successfully but the high BC of the 40 is why it reigns supreme. That group was seven shots, and the 32 grain flyer makes eight.

Really nice, especially with a factory barrel.
Thompson makes a good barrel, coupled with decent optics, ideal conditions, practice, and trigger control, most can do it.That $300 rifle outshoots rifles costing six times as much; a 1/10 twist helps, as few factory guns have that, most being 1/12.

Only problem with a group like that, if YOU miss, it's YOUR fault!! ;)

That's a rare occasion because of my intensive training, we kill 235 deer in the city on kill permits issued by DNR, in training a select few get chosen, during training one (1) miss and you're done permanently. So practice is key.
That’s a pretty cool gig!

I have the TC Venture predator model in 204 ruger . The flutted barrel camo gun. Mine is topped with a Nikon Buckmaster 6x18x40mm target dot scope. I have killed countless hogs with it. With a 35gr Berger bullet. I have the Berger 30gr and 40gr. But haven't worked up a load yet. Only bullets i have shot out of it Berger 35gr and 39gr bk. One of my victims.

The Thompsons are what I call sleeper rifles, dirt cheap but shoot as good as rifles costing 5 times or more, mine has never shot less than 3/4 moa.Yours is a 1/10 twist my guess.Shoots well i see.
