What do you hate the most?

such a dangerous question..... I will keep it firearm related. I hate it when the 22 YO youngster (three feet to my right) is shooting his AR as fast as he can pull the trigger, OR, the guy 20 feet to my right is shooting his braked 7mmRem Mag, OR the guy shooting a 38 Super five feet to my right. Cranky old man here, can you tell? And I wear plugs and muffs.

I hate when the wife unit comes into the man cave and starts talking while I am throwing powder. I have had many double charges when she is waiting for an answer to a question I already forgot.....Now I just empty everything, turn and let her talk. When she leaves the room, I lock the door.
Mine is now "required" to knock before entering, when throwing powder a swinging door with throw the scale off ever time! (locking the door is a good idea!). I'll also add I don't like fireforming!!! What a waste!

Howdy !

At the last competition I participated in, the assigned me a bench located between 2
.300Win Mag shooters; using brakes. Their muzzle blast set my 1.5oz trigger off once, and made me pull the trigger when I didn’t intend to…. twice.

The concussive effects hurt, in my forehead-eyes-upper cheek bones area.

With regards,

Trimming is definitely my least favorite part of reloading. Overall, I love my reloading time, I’d love it more though if I had a nice big picture window in front of me. My room is in the basement and I really like having natural light. Our previous house it was also in the basement but I had a small window above the bench. (My shooting range was about 100 yard walk from the basement door. I would give a lot to replace that. Now, range on the same property but a 15 minute drive from home…)

It’s funny when we get older no amount of artificial light can replace sunlight. I feel your pain. I can shoot from my loading room or step out the door and use a bench . Even though you have to drive 15 minutes not having to use a public range is invaluable.

Yeah, I do love my range…. 500 yards and very remote.

Some nights when I couldn’t wait to test a load I would light up the target to shoot.

I hate having to write down everything I do (in detail) when forming new brass, coming up with a good load, etc. Some of these things take a LOT of tinkering around to perfect - then, due to old(er) age, you forget them the next time around. Dang. "how'd I do that....."
