Master Caster value

A friend recently passed, his son has all his reloading and casting equipment that he wants to part with. I will likely buy all of it from him in one lot. I can figure bullets, primers, brass, etc... But, I am not sure what an automated caster is worth. I have seen it run, although many years ago. I believe he has a dozen or more sets of molds for it, I know there are two sets of 230gr rn 45 molds, probably a 355 swc, not sure what else.

Anyone know what these are worth?

I have no idea but from what I have gathered at Cast Bollits, the company that made this machine has gone out of business. Maybe a question over there would get you what you need. There seems to interest in these machines.

These typically sell at auction in the $7-8 range, depends on what tooling is there. I'd see what he'd take for it, I'd guess $5k will buy it.

If you don't want it, I may be interested in it.

I paid 1k for mine used a few years ago with 4-5 moulds

Its a tough sell. Fewer people are casting their own , and even fewer are casting at the volumes that the master casters can do.

Auctions prices are all over. Last machine I saw sell was sold for spare parts to a company that had 3 other machines. It was less than 1k if I remember Correctly.

I should clarify, this is a bullet master. Has 6 sets of molds on a wheel.
