I wonder if this happened at the Fife WA location.Got a box from Boyds that was supposed to have a stock in it for an airgun build. I had a sinking feeling as I peeled off a bunch of packing tape off a damaged box end. I opened the box and this is what was inside:

I don't have a clue what the flock this is. Anybody know what it is?
Isn't that one of those benchrest stocks I keep seeing on forums? They forgot to route a hole for the trigger, though, I THINK.Got a box from Boyds that was supposed to have a stock in it for an airgun build. When packages go through the system they can get damaged when in the truck because of poor packaging or poor loading. They also get damaged when traveling on the belts. Sometimes package jams happen where belts merge or when sorters get blown out. As the packages build up in the jam, heavier packages crush packages that have airspace in the box. The boxes get squished, ripped open or the ends pop open. The contents come out and travel down the belt separated from the box. All this crap is taken to a retake area where people try to put it all back together. Just as the item in the picture is unknown to us it is unknown to them. Add to that someone is yelling at them to get the items cleaned up, some of the people don’t care, some of the peopl may care but are dummer than a hay rake or the invoice is missing and someone puts item A into box B because it is the same size and shape (fits in the box) taped it up and sends it on. Voila you have a whatnot instead of your stock. Before you bash UPS, 'splain to me how a stock shaped object just happened to be lyin' 'round the UPS hub and they figured they'd send it on out to the OP in the original box with the original shipping label?
Barring other details, this is on Boyds.
That's all fine and dandy and personally wouldn't have a problem being understanding about this.....if....if....if they would fess up to that and pay to make it right. But I bet they blow the op claim off and not make it right. When packages go through the system they can get damaged when in the truck because of poor packaging or poor loading.
