Jewell Trigger, Help Needed!

My Jewell BR Trigger has started not resetting/cocking. Anyone have any suggestions for me? I have taken it apart and couldn't find anything wrong and it was very clean inside.

I am not an expert, but have had several of my Jewells apart a few times. Whenever I have had an issue a really serious and thorough cleaning (total disassembly) with carb cleaner, then lubing with lighter fluid has solved it.

If it's good and clean you can try increasing the weight and or sear engagement. And replacing the weight spring would be a good idea too if you can find one.

Have you tried increasing the over-travel ?

Most likely you just need a little more sear engagement. If your not familiar with this, have someone qualified make the adjustment. Assuming the trigger is good and clean.

May just be an adjustment. Here are a couple of Jewell trigger instructions.

I know this might be far fetched, but have you checked the slot in the action that allows the cocking block to come up. I have seen crud get up in there and not allow the cocking block to come all the way up and engage the cocking piece on the firing pin.
Early Farley actions were notorious for this.

Far fetched but we had a couple that that little floating part became magnetized. See if it is attracted to a screwdriver.

Thanks to everyone that responded. After having it apart numerous times and studying how they work I finally think that I understand how they work. Anyway, after making some adjustments and testing it is working again.
