Nightforce competition 15/55

I just mounted this scope on a new build. Bought it new with the FCR-1 reticle.
Took it to range to zero and form some brass.
II realized the reticle was fine from picture in description but it is also has very light coloring making it almost invisible to my eyes.
Has anyone else felt this way ?
Is there a fix or do I need to try and sell it ?
I literally shoot 15 rounds and am concerned this was a mistake purchase. ?
Thanks for any thoughts.
It’s appreciated.

Wow, never noticed a problem with mine. Granted my 77 year old eyes are different than yours. Whatta Hobby!

I will definitely play around with it again.
I am psyched for this scope and really want to make it work.
Thanks for the input.
Will get back to you soon.

I am fairly new to benchrest style shooting.
As a 58 year old and an eye glass wearer I am in the never ending battle of trying to adjust parallax correctly. I have difficulty with it. I am sure I can iron it out I was just disappointed by the extremely light coloring almost invisible reticle. I with do my best to overcome. Thanks again for the time.
Appreciate it a lot

I get tired of posting this. Why won't anyone read the directions that came with all the 100 scopes I have ? Set the parallex to infinity. Look at the sky or a blank white wall. Turn the rear lense until the reticle is nice and black. Now look at a target or object and use the parallex as normal. Leave your ocular lense alone after doing this.

Does it matter where the magnification is set? High, low or in between?

Thank you. !! Sorry.
I tried a search and didn’t find anything.
Appreciate you repeating and setting me straight.

You mentioned this twice, "extremely or very light coloring"
What do you mean by this?
Is there a "color" your viewing or is it just the reticles are very thin?
If the reticles ( numbers) are "in focus" but thin, then thats the reticle sub tensions.
On that scope they are thin and you might need to sell it for a scope with thicker
lines.

You might try the high-end Sightron scopes with the coarse AND fine parallax knobs. Easy to get the parallax perfect, unlike some scopes.

^^^^^ This, I just got another NF C513 and it (parallex) was set to where you could not see the reticle at all, please pay attention with ANY scope but especially the NightForce.

Jeffppc suggested , obviously many times.
It absolutely corrected my problem. It changed the redicle from a very light grey color to a dark black. It is still a fine cross hair as stated in description when purchasing which is fine but now having a crisp black coloring I am certain it will be the game changer.
I also added the sunshade. And here in New York this am it is pretty grey and overcast outside.
That’s again for helping the new guy.
Hope it didn’t ruffle to many feathers

Try No Glasses--let the scope do the work I have used glasses since the 4th grade but do not shoot with them using a scope---get that reticle sharp first--then it will go fine I bet
If you stare at the reticle your eye will correct--just look a second, close your eye and move focus say 1/4 turn open your eye, rinse repeat until you are sure you have it--put a Sharpie dot at noon on the focus ring and never move it
putting the scope way out of focus helps while setting the reticle sharpness and bright background

use single vision glasses no bifocals if you have a older pair of single vision glasses try those I have to screw the dioptor almost all the way back to get a good CH that's sharp, but it works with an older pair of glasses I sent scopes back for 2 yrs till I tried the older glasses it was all me...if this makes sense try it
