Please provide more details. Was this your rifle? Were you the guy injured?

Here is a report of a similar kaboom caused by using the wrong Hodgdon powder.
NOTE: This is a DIFFERENT Rifle, different powders, different shooter... but it does show what can happen when the wrong powder is mistakenly used. The loader used TiteGroup pistol powder thinking it was Varget.

Sorry it happened to you and glad you weren't hurt worse. Bad things can happen.
Not to hold myself up as perfect, but I have long had the habit of placing a tag in the powder measure hopper when I fill it indicating exactly what powder is in it. Ideally, I never leave powder in a hopper anyway, but there are times when one might be called away unexpectedly and forget what powder you left in the hopper.

Am glad you’re going to be OK. I for one, don’t think powders should be given names like that at all. They should have numbers or letters & numbers. But not names or words.

Yes this was a Savage 110 tactical in 6 arc--I ended up going to the emergency and had metal removed from my eye and forehead I loaded 28.5 of LiL Gun instead of 28.5 of Lever evolution

Yes this was a Savage 110 tactical in 6 arc--I ended up going to the emergency and had metal removed from my eye and forehead I loaded 28.5 of LiL Gun instead of 28.5 of Lever evolution

in original bottles? I can see the mistake happening because of the Ls?

Well, I guess everyone that ever made a mistake driving and was involved in an accident should give up driving too...right? Mistakes happen, I have done some incredibly boneheaded things in my life, some that caused me injury but, I never once considered giving something up because of it. Some of us can learn from mistakes.
