I went by a House fire in my area once, Same thingOk who's house was it?!
I know it’s way too expensive, but I might just buy a couple of boxes of the hand loaded ammo that companies like Copper Creek sell, just to get an idea what my rifle, in particular my Tikka Super Varmint in 6.5 Creedmoor , can actually do. Hell, it’s only money and it’s not like that would send me to the poor house! Anybody had any experiences with any of these companies so that you might recommend one? Thanks.Well, at the age of 77 and with a declining attention span and attention to detail, this solidifies my decision that it’s not a good idea for me to get into hand loading ammunition! I’ll just have to live with the reality that I’ll never TRULY know just how accurate and precise my rifles could be.
I would just buy Hornady’s eld match and get your drops and be one with that rifle for the life of it.I know it’s way too expensive, but I might just buy a couple of boxes of the hand loaded ammo that companies like Copper Creek sell, just to get an idea what my rifle, in particular my Tikka Super Varmint in 6.5 Creedmoor , can actually do. Yeah, you’re probably right, but my chronograph has really opened my eyes to the variability of factory ammunition. With the way I shoot, I need all the help I can get at 500 yards, much less if I try 1,000!I would just buy Hornady’s eld match and get your drops and be one with that rifle for the life of it.
Plus you could sell that once fired brass back here for thirty something cents a piece too.
I just wish I knew which lake....Somewhere there is a lake with a treasure trove of millions of guns....Not mine ... I lost all my ammo when my boat sunk.
It's ok...The Black stuff will be an issue… Smokeless just adds a bit to the flames.
I have mentioned this previously on a different issue, if an Insurance company finds out the you have stored quantities of explosive {primers} & highly flammable products {Gun powder} in your house they are most likely to use that as an excuse to deny any claim involving a fire….
Best check with your insurance company and declare that you have these items and see if they will still cover you for loss.
