Very true, very trueProblem with the little solids is spotting, even 338 solids can be difficult compared to cup/core.
I Believe that a Few, Texas Plinking, 1000 yard Steel Challenge Matches, were WON with, THIS, Factory "Load".Decent results with 140g ELDM shooting 6.5 Creedmoor
The 130’s are nice in a 6.5.I "should Be" shooting, the 140 or, 147 grain, ELD-M's, in my 6.5 Creed Rifle, but I really Like, the almost, NO Recoil from, the 130 gr "M's" and so Far, out to, 850 yards,.. NO Problems,.. w/ Accuracy !
After owning / Shooting, an Un-Braked, .338 Win Mag for a Decade, I'm kind of, a puszzy at this,..
"older stage" of, my Life.
I Have NO "Need" of, spending, 40 to 50% More, on a Bullet to, "Plink Steel" to 1,000 yds and I Doubt that, I could Hear, the "Ting" of a 140+ grain, 6.5 Bullet much Past,. 1,000 yards, anyway. The 130’s are nice in a 6.5.
When I did a lot of long range with my 260 the Hornandy 147 was my favorite but Berger 144 would be my choice now.
The 130 grain, M's do, the Job at, 850 yds,.. just,. Fine !I Have NO "Need" of, spending, 40 to 50% More, on a Bullet to, "Plink Steel" to 1,000 yds and I Doubt that, I could Hear, the "Ting" of a 140+ grain, 6.5 Bullet much Past,. 1,000 yards, anyway.
Agree that, the 144 Hybrids are probably, the "Best" 6.5 creed bullet,.. But ELD-M's shoot, Plenty GOOD for Me.
Actually a 130 and 140 hitting steel at a mile is usually easily heard.I Have NO "Need" of, spending, 40 to 50% More, on a Bullet to, "Plink Steel" to 1,000 yds and I Doubt that, I could Hear, the "Ting" of a 140+ grain, 6.5 Bullet much Past,. 1,000 yards, anyway.
