BAT Maverick Action?

I have had one for a few months, it won’t be long and I can give ya some info, it’s pretty much just like a b, real close anyway, I see no reason at this point that it won’t work for long range .
I know of two other long range guys that have them in hand and they are pretty amped up about it as well.

Same reason the Nuevo LR exists. 2.45" vs 3" load port, it will feed a Dasher/BRA but you cant just toss them in. You have to be deliberate, and it slows you down. I got enough complaints about the short port, I got them to make the LR.

So, I didn't see anything on BAT website about he Maverick.
That bolt on the left looks like my Neuvo LR bolt except the Neuvo shroud requires a 3-lug FP tool.
Do the Maverick bolt lugs lock up same as a Neuvo or in the "traditional" manner of the B?

I will have one soon to check out. Its sized more for the PPC. Not that you cant use it for long range.

I have alot of hesitation with an aluminum action, are they as good as steel?looking for a dasher build for Williamsport

Well, I can't answer because the Neuvo LR is chrome moly steel.
IIRC, back when I was much younger, I had a Panda short range rifle and it was aluminum with a steel insert.

I'm not sure what that Bat action is made of. But the kelblys pandas have held there own over the years and are a aluminum action with a steel insert. I wouldn't hesitate because of it being aluminum if it is. The pandas have won many matches.

So Kelbly has just about ceased manufacturing Panda Actions while Bat/Bruno brings out their version of the aluminum body Benchrest Action.

The long range Nuevo in aluminum has been out for a while now. And the Vampire and Bumblebee actions even longer. There should be zero hesitation with aluminum. You may pick one over the other based on other considerations, but all things equal I prefer aluminum.
