Remington R1 Base

Old Navy

Gold $$ Contributor
Has anyone mounted a Vortex red dot on a Remington Enhanced 1911 R1. If so what base actually fits and where did you buy it. I have been on several forums and the consensus is that Remington used their own cut in the slide. I already contacted Vortex who referred me to the CCW site. They don't mention a base for this model.

I’m not sure about that, I really don’t remember but I do recall the slide being very hard to cut new sights in the rear of mine. Think carbide …

The Enhanced is different than the standard. A rough measurement of the cut length is .681".
