Stolen At East-West Match

Willing to bet this is what happened. I’ve seen enough threads and posts on here and Facebook to know reading comprehension is a problem for many. If I’m wrong, I’ll send you the $135.
Yes, so sadly true… I have to wonder if folks know that when they see a red line under what they have just typed that it means that they have misspelled that word or if before posting they proof read what they have written…
Grammar and syntax have sadly suffered since the days of the 3”R’s”… So often here you can find confusion such as to, two, too… and other common errors in sentence structure.
I know of one local business that requires job applicants to submit hand written applications so that they can see if the person can read and write legibility and not “Right wid out speling mistakes or confusd sentanses….”

Good idea....they do have cameras all over the place. It's not worth me bothering them. If was a rifle or something valuable I certainly would. Harry Ward runs the matches, does a great job, and I don't want to burden him. Only $135
Do it anyway.

The thief/ves need to be exposed and banned from the ranges.

Back in the late 70's I went with my mentor to an unregistered match in Clarksburg, WV. After unloading, we walked around looking at items for sale. Some were quite pricey. stated to Zane, my mentor, it's kind of brave to place items for sale with a coffee can for payment. He said nothing ever is ever taken. I realized that I was in a very good group of shooters.

When I used to shoot the Nationals at Camp Perry, you left your rifle, gear and cart on the range while serving pit duty. Never even considered something being stolen.

Uunfortunately, people have changed over the years, and not in a good way.
It would be interesting to see video of what happened. Body language would probably be all that's needed to know the difference between mistake and intent.

Received this from a REAL BENCHREST SHOOTER. A true example of what we all strive to be. Steve bought a barreled action and a couple of other items from me when I was selling my friend Keith's estate stuff. Funny thing was, when I met him in person last weekend he was just as I pictured him. And, as this post shows...A Stand Up Guy as most of us are.Screenshot_20250701_205520_Chrome.jpg
