Thank you for that link, My dad used to race flat track and scrambles (mostly at Ascot Park) in So Cal in the late 50's and 60's and that took me right back.

I had all of the old 8mm movies put on discs a decade or 2 ago.

Not intended to derail from BC but it's XR 750's.........
 
Orge do a search on the Springfield Mile. I just bring one up and don't even care what year it is. I have a friend that used to ride a big Kawasaki on short tracks around here. I used to go help in the pits. One night in the big metal building in Davie FL his big green bike was running so perfect, till it wasn't, we argued about the cause, I told take out that $10 gold palladium spark plug (They were a new thing at the time) and try a conventional plug. After checking a few things and no success he changed the plug and ran a couple of practice laps pulled back in to our spot in the pits and said " go outside and throw that plug as far as you can." I used to love go the some kind of race, enduro, motocross, hare scrambles, I wish I had my Penton back!
 
The old man rode BSA's mostly which was weird as he was 6' 3" and looked like Magilla on that little light thing but he could throw it around that 1/2 mile at Ascot.

Not to derail too far off of BCz work, my dad would've liked your stuff on his helmet.

He always had a cool paint job

Next is a Jeremy Mataya stock i started about 6 months ago for Jeff Crose, Jeff picked up a paint certificate @ NBRSA national in Eatonville Washington, I did initial priming and blocking before sending it off for final inlet while Jeff waited for his new Borden Black Knight.
