338 norma mag load questio

Please point me in the correct direction on powder choice.
338 norma mag, lapua brass, 300g berger bullets.
Any guidance would be appreciated

H1000, Retumbo, RL33, VV570 and any powders in that range of burn rate.

H1000 and retumbo definitely perform and what my friend uses.

I’d also look at N565 and possibly N570.
R26 is fantastic if you have it.

Sierra data seems quite conservative for the 300SMK.

That’s a lot closer to my experience’s with 338 NM and H1000 and retumbo.

Go slow, consistent and accurate with H1000 or push it with n570 to near Lapua H1000 speeds.

My builder recommended H1000, I used more than that spreadsheet did, but I was loaded long and averaged 2,640. I agree N570 might be the ticket....
