It's that time of year. Let's see those kills.

The weather is getting hot, wind is not blowing as hard, I loaded a few 20P’s yesterday and cleaned the 20P also, so went out this morning and shot about 20.
The 300 and 275 yard shots were fighting a small breeze, 250 and under were simple enough.

Stopped on the way home the spotter needed to cool off:)

Nic shooting on tiny targets, great spotter, the best kind.

86*, sunny & hot setting in it- I decided to open the gator door, and set in the roof shade.. providing a little cover from me fidgeting-IMG_8253.jpegsetting 3hr20min.. one eased out-IMG_8256.jpegdecided I had enough sweat, I put the stool on the bed, something caught my eye through the door glass, I spun the tripod around, held the 350yd mark IMG_8257.jpegalmost missed him… had a little brain surgery-IMG_8259.jpegI’m liking this CZ repeater, and the Athlon 10-40 scope combo.. since the hash marks matches my drops on 18X…

Went and picked up a water trough. Took the boy and the 223AI loaded with 50gr ballistic tips. Stopped by a friend's alfalfa field as a detour on the way home and shot 3 rock chucks. 160, 225,and 280 yards. Quick half hour makes for some fun!

The bean field across from my house was planted late this year, so I’ve been patiently waiting for the beans to come up. I went out this morning around 11am and missed one at 100 yards with my 223. Not sure what happened there, but I decided to bring my air rifle along this afternoon just in case I saw one closer to me. Sure enough, the one posing for the picture came out at 65 yards right around 6:30pm. After ranging it, I checked my dope card and sent a 25.3 grain JSB Exact King pellet at 980fps right through her forehead. She never knew what happened. The rifle is a Taipan Veteran 2 in 25 caliber.

How do you like that Taipan? I've checked them out over on Talontunes site.

I thought long and hard because I really wanted a Daystate Huntsman Revere, but in the end I went with more power and I have no regrets. Honestly, it probably outperforms most .22 long rifles out to 50 yards or so “IF” the wind isn’t blowing. I asked Tony at Talon Tunes to set it up for 25.39 grain JSB Exact Kings and I haven’t even tried another pellet yet. I shoots pretty consistent groups in the .3s at 50 yards in good conditions.

Awesome! I have 4 .25s, JSBs are accurate out of all of them. The 33.95s are great coon swatters.
