Factory CZ457 MTR off Farley

I'm playing around with benchrest a little shooting ARA cards factory target. My shooting results vary from jaw dropping to outburst of unchristian words at myself and my set up. One thing I have noticed is the rifle twists in my Farley rest if I'm not gripping said rifle more than I care for. The firm gripping/shoulder tuck does not seam to yield consistent results.
Any suggestions on how to manage this?

Put a bag rider on the fore end and angle the rear bag slightly until the rifle ride’s straight. The MTR butt stock has a slight offset.

I made a 3 inch wide piece of wood the same as my benchrest stock and attached it to the stock, it seemed to help quite a bit. Tapping the rear of the stock into tight ears also helped.

I have a Mystique Precision bipod I'm going to shoot with tomorrow. Hopefully it will behave off it.
Who would have thought a rimfire would behave like that.
I have found since getting into .22 seriously, they are very fickle...or at least they can be. When I shoot poorly with a CF, I know it was me. That is because I am generally shooting a known accurate gun, with hand loads that have been proven and, the ammo isn't usually as affected by the wind. When I shoot poorly with a RF I always question whether it was me, the wind, the ammo, the set-up...they list goes on. It is the most frustrating shooting sport I have ever been involved in.

My measuring stick on me vs gun is where the crosshairs end up after pulling the trigger. Thats of couse second to POI. Trying to shoot free recoil is when I started really seeing the rifle movement after the shot. Rather than getting a smooth linial recoil i could actually see this twisting motion. Absolutely upsets the gun in the bags.

I have struggled with this sort of thing as well, and pretty much found it coming down to trigger control. A stock with lines not designed for tracking in bags, as well as a heavier trigger, accentuate the problem.
My solution has been to be careful to have a consistent position in the bags, and then be hypervigilant about a straight pull and follow through.
Just my experience.
