WANTED Remington 700 trigger

Putting a budget rifle for my friends son to deer hunt. He killed a nice 6 point last year and is looking forward to next season. He’s is 12.
He’s been shooting his Dad’s 270 Weatherby and it too much gun for him.
We picked him up a Remington 700 308 and the trigger needs to go straight to the trash.

I would like to find a budget friendly trigger upgrade and he could use a good 20 moa rail.

I will be handling the payments on the forum. He will be paying me back with money he is saving up.

He needs to have a little skin in the game. IMO

So in that box of “parts” we all have you have a descent trigger for a 700 let me know the details.

Thanks

I’ve got this Timney trigger I used for a few years on my rem 700 before I switched to trigger tech. I’d sell for $75

I may have a newer factory trigger that I replaced. If i still have it, it is yours for the postage of a small flat rate box. I just had knee replacement surgery though Tuesday and it may be a day or three before I make it out to the shop

I think I’ve found what he needs.
Thanks for all the offers !!
If you send me your trigger I can fix it and make it nice
I advertise here on the Forum and specialize in Rem 700 Triggers

And out of pure curiosity
Why would a 12 year old need a 20 MOA rail? Which is intended for putting the scopes usable adjustment range toward long range shooting.
(as opposed to say a 0 MOA rail)
Does he anticipate zeroing his scope for 600?

Hopefully he will have this rifle many years and grow into a better scope need more elevation. At 12 a zero would do, I agree.
I gave him a 3-9 Tasco Titan I had, it’s super clear and will work at 100 yds for now.
