1977 Leupold BR 24x scope - ok for centrefire?

Hi,

I’ve recently come across a H prefix Leupold benchrest 24x scope and was just wondering if these are safe to use on a 308 or possibly a 300WM without the internals rattling to bits.

Looking to use it for an Any Rifle build (similar to open calibre) for a UK target shooting discipline 1000-1200 yards.

Kind of vintage, but it will hold up. For distance you might wanna put it on a +MOA base. They're kind of a classic short range bench scope from back in the day. jd
Thanks. I'll give it a try at some point on a "vintage" target rifle I have in 308. I suppose I do have more modern stuff for my 300WM target rifles.
