That's because of the rebarrel job. This is not factory.I have two like that, L46 Vixens in .222. One with a CanJar trigger, both with Lilja barrels. They worked astonishingly well with the 40gr VMax.View attachment 1654977

You are talking about the thing that is shaped like a block, on the Griffin & Howe site, where the safety attaches? (the determining feature of an L46). That vintage feature as quirky looking as it is is what I like. That's the correct picture of an L46 in the Griffen and Howe site. The determining feature for the L46 it has a flat piece on the bolt shroud with a rocker style safety and is box magazine fed. The pic of the one on Gunbroker is a L461. It's determining feature is the exposed or open bolt shroud and no box magazine. Later the shroud and bolt were redesigned with a red cocking indicator to satisfy US export restrictions, hence the A1. The A1 was a CNC machined receiver.
Yes that's all part of the safety that blocked the firing pin from falling while the L461 safety was on the trigger. Better for scope use. Detachable magazine is headache and very expensive and difficult to find. All of the L46 had Bofors barrels and 16 twist. The L461 twist was changed to 1-14.You are talking about the thing that is shaped like a block, on the Griffin & Howe site, where the safety attaches? (the determining feature of an L46). Agreed. Fortunately, I saved the original Bofors steel barrel. That's because of the rebarrel job. This is not factory.
It probably would be possible to make it single shot, too.Yes that's all part of the safety that blocked the firing pin from falling while the L461 safety was on the trigger. Better for scope use.
