BR scope question

I have an older club member who shoots in our 22 rimfire 50&100 yd club BR matches.

With his vision issues, he has difficulty using fine crosshairs on your typical BR scopes. Small target dots don't seem to help either.

Are there any 24X and higher magnification scopes with a 1" tube and a heavier reticle - such as fine duplex, etc.
Of course, target turrets and some sort of AO would also be appreciated. Variables would be considered.

Just looking for ideas and suggestions. I am willing to find and buy one for him to use if something like this exists.

Thanks,
Don

The DD2 reticle offered in Nightforce scopes is wonderful for shooters doing 22 bench rest--Especially if you have less than perfect eyes like most of us --The 12-42 has been a total Game Changer for me--I also have sold a few scopes where cross hairs were too fine for me but the double dot ia just amazing how well it works and frames up those bullseyes
Look through one you will be surprised

if he wears glasses tell him to try an older pair if and he does of single vision...I use an older pair of single vision glasses work perfect, have to take them off but the scope picture is perfect..if this makes any sense

Athlon has a 6-24x50 Talos with a 1 inch tube with thick 0.3 MOA center crosshair.

They also have an Argos 4-20x50 with 1 inch tube with a big 0.7 MOA center dot and 0.25 thick center crosshair.

I have the same reticle in the 2-12x version on some of my lever guns.

That 6-24 looks like something that might just work!
Thanks for the reply.

Afret,
I checked the Athlos website in the Talos section and did not fine a 6-24 with the same reticle that you show above. Is it no longer offered?
Don

I have a Leupold 24X with a German #4 reticle. The scope has two thick horizontal and one thick vertical crosshair close to the center. I believe that this reticle was mainly used where someone had difficulty seeing the reticle. My scope has target knobs and adjustable objective. It is a 1". Adjustments are 1/4". I don't believe that Leupold still makes this scope with this reticle. You may be able to find a used one if it would work to help your friend.
