Colorado is an antigun state.

That is what liberals want. So sad!
I don't think this is what liberals want. If you could come up with a way to stop the mass shootings, especially school shootings, the pressure against guns would all but cease. Fact is there never was a great deal of pressure against guns, not like there is today, until the mass shooting started. I know this is not a popular thing to say but I have not heard a substantial argument to make me see things differently. I wish I could.

I arrived in 2000 and left in 2005. Beautiful mountains but Denver and Boulder are whacky.

I have several good friends there, so it is really sad to see how far left it has gone.
Yeah I was in COS 2000-2003 for large shop, large iron IT work/experience and really enjoyed my time there but being a native Oregonian I missed it and all the state offers (libtards excluded) so came back. While there seemed like hunting/shooting was totally in Colorado's blood. I'd like to say it's hard to believe it could change so much but all it took was the mass flood of Kalifornicators to do just that.

How about the problem of violent video games warping these young people’s mind. They would pass by a gun store like a barbershop if this wasn’t the case.

My family lived in Boulder 1965-68. At that time, Boulder was 35,000 population. We always thought of that time like Camelot. A magical place gone forever.

I want to bring up something Rex said about about when anti gun got going. I can remember when I was a kid CBS had a special called the guns of autumn , about how cruel hunting was. That was 60s. Granted its worse now . Who ever heard of a school shooting then. All they could bitch about was hunting. Ive got grandkids in school. Scares the crap out of you. Doug

Like you I think that is a problem, but the mass shootings started before they were around. The first killing of random people I remember was Charles Whitman atop the Texas tower in 1966. Steven Paddock, the shooter in Las Vegas was 64 years old, and the median age is over 30. Yes I think the videos are despicable and a product of pure greed by people who do not care about their communal responsibility but definitely not the sole reason for the senseless killings.

Good point Doug. Hunting is common to folk raised in the country. When my father and uncles would visit they would bring out some guns to talk about. They were adamant that I a youngster learned the proper respect for a gun and how to handle one safely or not at all! They certainly didn't send Christmas cards out with each member of the family regardless of age holding a gun! They were serious men with great integrity some even came back from Europe without all the limbs they left the states with! I loved those guys and they taught me respect!

Mass-killings have existed for a long, long time well before calls for gun-control. Looking at history, significant gun control started in the 1930s.

Liberals have tried to throw everything at the wall until something sticks to unite all the sub-groups in the nation. Scared moms, illegals, blacks, abortionists, gays, trans genders, etc until they have small sub-groups that stand together to over-throw the majority.

Not to take away from what you’re saying, but it’s not the guns fault. The insane could have used any means to carry out a mass attack.

Please don't assume I would think in such terms. Like I said figure out a way to stop the mass shootings and the gun debate for all intents and purposes will go away.
With all due respect, the National Firearms Act happened BEFORE your depiction of the onset of mass shootings.

They hate the guns without consideration mass shootings. They do want a disarmed populace.

Exactly. The worst “mass shootings” were in schools by deranged teenagers. All of the parents said “they had no idea the kid was dangerous.” These were the “time out” kids who could have their parents arrested if they spanked them. The kids that were given cell phones and allowed to join Social Media websites with no over site on content or behavior. So one of these undisciplined unparented kids goes off the rails and the left says it’s the gun’s fault.

I blame it all on T-Ball, participation trophies and pizza even if you do lose. I think things need to steer back toward the center. 3 strikes is an out and 3 outs is the end of an inning. The way to stop a bully is not to rat them out to the teacher, you beat them into submission and they will leave you alone. Be polite, help your neighbors, live the golden rule.
Too many kids are being brought up to believe they are the only person in the world who matters. If your child is a nut job then put them in an institution that can treat them, don’t just tell them they’re special. Sorry, I didn’t mean to rant but I can’t believe some of the things I see and hear. I live in a town of less than 700 people and I see it here all the time. A lot of young people have never been taught to respect anyone or anything.

I think the first gun control act in the 30s was brought on by the gangsters with bars and thompsons. I guess you could call it a mass shooting when more than one person got killed in a bank robbery but not like the physco BS weve got today. Doug

You could stop all the mass shootings and the same people would still be trying to ban guns. I do not believe for one minute that their desire to ban guns comes solely from mass shootings. And, as others have stated, mass shootings have existed for a very long time, far longer than the desire to ban guns. When the Nazis or other regimes implemented gun confiscation, were they responding to mass shootings?
