Scope Elevation Issues

I think the problem has been solved. (?) I'll find out tomorrow at the range. I am pretty sure my nephew used the scope's zero-stop feature.

A much heavier barrel and a new, thicker recoil lug was used.

the recoil lug alone could do it. if the old recoil lug wasnt flat it only takes a little bit to point the barrel in a different direction when a new flat lug is put in. if youre getting good groups consistently in the same place on target Id say its good and put a 0 base in or some sig zee rings or both.

Seems like nobody these days thinks about bending the barrel a little bit. Why, back in the day --- jd

I was just going to ask about the zero stop
I had to adjust mine down because new barrel shoots a few mils high.

Many thanks for all the replies. Yes, it was the zero stop! I made some adjustments, went to the range this morning, and...Viola! The world(at least my little corner) is fine again.
