Anyone using the Frankford Arsenal universal seating die set?

Hmm I never dreamed something Frankford arsenal made would be better than Redding...
Glad I read this needing to buy two Redding competition seaters.think I'll look into the FA or at least buy one to compare to my reddings.

I'll buy all these dies then end up with arbor press with gauge and then have to buy all those inline seaters.lol

I really thought Redding competition seater was top dog until you got into inline seaters.interesting

The Redding Comp Seater is a good die but the F A has seated bullets more uniformly than either of mine in that once and awhile with the Redding die one may get a few rounds seated a couple of thousandths off while with the F A die I have not seen that so far. I have been using mine for years now.

What about

I've had problems with two FA hand primers but I'm going to order one of these dies.we'll see
I think they are Taiwanese but we'll see keep my fingers crossed.lol

I've been using the FA seater for 2 years. now. Super pleased. I'm not sure how anyone could make this better. No idea how FA compares prices wise. I was looking for a multicaliber choice and FA meet the criteria.

Oh yea I tried their hand priming tool and immediately sent it back. LOL. So far Lee's bench primer has been jam up for me.

As others have said, i agree, less run out, for me too, with the FA.

Bill, i`ve actually had really good luck with my FA hand primer. I guess i got one that must have been made on a Wednesday. It`s all i prime with now. Its simple and quick. Oh gawd, i`m turning into a FA fanboi :(

I've had one for years. It works great. I found it cause a bit of runout until I removed the small pins that hold the bullet and let the sleeve float freely. They seemed to cause some bullet tilt. Once removed, I raise the case until the neck goes into the bushing and then drop in the bullet and seat it. Works better than the RCBS or redding IME.

Exactly what I also found and do. Works great with very little RO.

Yeah I bought two hand primers.seamed well built both dented primers.going to reengineer the ram guide sleeve at work.
In meantime I bought rcbs bench mounted primer.probably never use them but Frankford didn't ask for original one back so I'll make them work for backups

Yes used the lee hand primers forever but eventually they break.never tried the bench primer the rcbs bench primer is awesome that's what I bought as replacement

Think I'll order the FA seater also .thanks bill Norris

I read that but, if you look at the comments, it is mostly people saying it worked fine while they are / were waiting for their custom dies. There is only one comment from someone that was a regular user that I saw and, that post was two years ago.

I am hoping for some responses from people that have more than a temporary usage a few years ago, point of view. Let me clarify, are there folks here that have used the dies regularly and, more or less, as their main seating tool?

My customers love this. It's basically the same design as a Whidden as far as the basic principle. A tube inside a tube floating on o rings.

I've never had a customer buy it and not like it.
