Recent USPS Delays..When Did They Start?

What phone number did you call, I only get the toll free one and are no help
Could you post or PM me the number you called. I think I'm going to need it. Thank You

After I got a letter from the post office my package was lost and unable to be located, I filed a report for stolen mail. I explained to the lady that was a firearm shipped between FFLs as I am licensed and it was coming from another licensee. If in fact stolen, I need confirmation to report it to ATF. She said she would send it to a postal inspector. It was about a week later I got a response and now it is moving.

I was originally told it left the post office in MO but never made it on the truck. That is what got me suspicious. I have a feeling the postal inspector asking questions got whatever shenanigans going on to stop.

I had this happen with fedex, once. I told them I was going to call my local AFT rep that my dealer knows, and it magically appeared. Go figure!!! Good info, thanks for the number.

I doubt that he resigned, Trump appointed him during his first term.
I can believe he resigned, but was told to......Common pattern. Most of
the people he has appointed or positioned won't be around to see the
mid terms. Biden would have done away with him early on but, I do not
think federal law would have allowed that. So for four years, it got worse.
Now that Trump is back in charge, he let him go because he's making
him look bad. His usefulness was used up......Well it's the way I see it any-
ways.....

I use USPS. I've found them to be sometimes slow, sometimes the tracking doesn't work, and sometimes packages go astray for a while. but knock on wood, they don't get lost. Unlike UPS and FEDEX, they have no time pressure. They really don't care how long it takes so they don't hurry, they don't get pushed to move faster, and they don't have any need to take shortcuts. Always use a barcoded shipping label. Never hand write an address.

Had a scope repaired in New Mexico, shipped out to me 3-14-2025, arrived in Atlanta 3-17-2025, took 11 days to move 40 miles to my home, received 3-28-2025.

My latest, I live in Southwest Indiana. Sent a check Sat 3/22 by 3-day Priority to Wyoming. With the weekend is was to be delivered Wed 3/26, thats fine. Oh wait, Wed my check was in Massachusetts! Now it's in Denver Colorado headed to Gillette Wy to hopefully be delivered 3/31. So that's about 1,100 miles east and then 2,000+ miles back west to be delivered. I think its time to do more electronic transactions when possible!

Haven't had many problems with USPS but always wondered why they ask if you want to add more insurance. Hmmm? Pay them more to make sure they do their job correctly!
