Testing Alliant Reloder 15.5 (15 point FIVE)

because 'the customers were willing to pay it in the last few years, and thanks to the usa fuel prices are up which means transportation costs are up"
just sayin'
and i just looked at bruno..i did not see a 30% increase
If Bruno’s has something you want, buy it because the pricing has been changing substantially at most dealers.

got 4lb of RL 15.5 recently and I wanna test it in my Dasher
I'm looking for safe starting load and can't find any info on Alliant's website
32.0 grains seems to be safe charge to start based on RL15, RL16, Varget 3and H4350 in my rifle

RL 15 - 32.8gr/2949 fps
RL 16 - 34.7gr/2948 fps
H4350 - 35.5gr/2966 fps
Varget - 32.5gr/3000fps

28" Krieger, CCI BR4, Roy's 103 jammed 0.010"
Ive done 15.5 tests in several cartridges but not the dasher.
While I dont have your COL or bullet in the database, I substituted a 105 Berger and COL 2.44 and 33.5 gr looks close to max. This is just a simulation and more precise measurements arent available at the time I ran it

How’d that work out for you?
Pretty good actually.
With 20+ pounds of other powders too shoot in the same cartridge with outstanding results 15.5 ain't missed. Lol
The most expensive powder I purchased was $37 a pound for 12 pounds, shooting 1000 rounds a year at most I'd say it worked out pretty good.

Late to the party. I shot quite a bit of 15.5 in a dasher from 31.5-33.5 gr with good results using 110 A-tips. Velocity over that range of charge weight was 2,870 fps to 3,3035 fps at 69.0 degrees F out of a 30 inch barrel with a Nuevo action. All loads were safe in my gun. Not to say they would be in yours. It grouped best around 32.0 gr at 2,910 fps.
