LOAD TESTING and BARREL TUNERS

All a tuner does is attenuate barrel vibration...that is to slow it down to varying degrees. A tuner will not/cannot speed up barrel vibrations. A tuner cannot compensate for downrange condititions...that why we shoot sighters and doping to compensate for conditions. Once the bullet leaves the crown, the tuner has done all it can do.....from there Mother Nature has the last say.
Not being ugly at all but need clarification. So if the tuner cannot speed up vibrations what happens if one continues to turn the tuner in the same direction? Does it continue to slow the vibrations down? At what point does it reverse?

If your "optimum" tune is say 1.5 turns out .which will attenuate further than fully in.....if you turn the tuner back towards fully in the vibrations are attenuated (faster) in relationship to vibrations where the "optimum tune was. I hope this helps.
Good luck and stay safe.
Mr. Norris....this is with all due respect to you sir.

Got it. Thanks.

Saturdays ARA match I was shooting in the unlimited class and temps were in mid 60's, last time I shot the rifle mid 40's. First target scored a 1975 with a lot of vertical. Moved the tuner out 2 clicks, the vertical went away and I scored a 2300. Then the wind went into double digits..........
Love to see examples of adjusting the tuner actually showing improvements. I realize sometimes a shooter will turn it with seemingly with no or very slim results. I believe Tim is onto something when he describes the conditions in which this happens in his video.
