6mm ARC recipe

My grandson is hoping to find a recipe for a load for the 6 ARC.
Anyone shooting a 6 ARC with a 65grain V-Max and LVR powder, if so please give us a starting point and a top load. How does it perform? What are you shooting a Contender, AR, or bolt gun?

I have loaded a lot of different projectiles in a bolt action 6mm ARC. Not sure that I have done the 65 grain offering. IMHO LVR would be a rather poor choice of propellant for that light of bullet in the 6mm ARC. Doubt you will get any responses of actual use, regarding LVR under the 65 GR V-max specifically.

BTW is your grandson working with a gas gun or a bolt gun.

If I had to purchase powder for the 65 grain projectile to try N133 would be a 1st consideration for me. If you have IMR 8208 that would be good along with H335.

Not going to say it won't work, but Lever would not be a first choice for that light of a bullet. A faster powder might make the load workup a more enjoyable process.

Why not one of the 87's? The Lever would be more suitable there.

I've used a lot of AA 2460 in my 6ARC. Been happy with it so far. I haven't seen a lot of info other than the Hornady manual and Western Powder manual.
