Haven’t used it for cleaning but does a good job of keeping things slick. My oldest son was a deputy and the sheriff required Gibbs to be used on their weapons.

I believe I bought a can of that @ Home depot or Lowes. Never used it on firearms. Can't say I remember it being better than anything else for shop work.
