White Oak Armament Has Been Sold

Just an fyi that as of February 28, 2025, White Oak Armament has been sold to John-Alistair and Marylee George of Gardnerville, NV. Ben Cleland has been brought on as Gunsmith.

Also, it appears the WOA web site is down and the transition is in progress.

Best wishes to John and Dawn Holliger for a long and very well deserved retirement.

Exciting Changes at
White Oak Armament!

As of February 28, 2025 White Oak Armament is under new ownership and will be moving to Gardnerville, Nevada! John-Alistair George and his wife Marylee George are taking the reins. We want to assure everyone that this change is a positive move for all involved and the Georges are committed to continuing to provide the Highpower community with the Quality, Service, and Value that customers have come to expect from White Oak Armament.
The last 30 years of serving the shooting community through White Oak has been an incredible experience. The support and trust that the community puts in us has been incredible and beyond anything I could have imagined when I started this thing out of a little corner in my garage. Seeing my customers accomplish their shooting goals, whether that be going Distinguished, making High Master, or simply having the most accurate rifle on the range, has always given me great satisfaction and has been our driving force. Getting to meet so many great people and interacting with them at Perry and other ranges is something I treasure.

I will always love Service Rifle Shooting, but with time comes change and several years ago I felt that I should start looking for a way to slow down a little bit. We work very hard to provide the level of service that you expect, I did not see how I could provide the level of service shooters deserve and at the same time start to slow down. For this reason, we began the process of seeking out someone to take over. The Georges expressed interest and over the last year we have been working to make this transition happen. In addition to John-Alistair and Marylee George, they have brought Ben Cleland onto the team as the Gunsmith. Ben is an incredible shooter, having shot for the Army Marksmanship unit and winning about all there is to win with a service rifle. However, and as importantly, Ben has grown up around guns and gunsmithing. His father was an AMU shooter as well, and his grandfather was a Highpower shooter and Gunsmith before that. Suffice to say Ben knows guns and gunsmithing.
So what is next? Short term there will likely be a slight interruption in service as machines and inventory are moved to the new home in Nevada. Once things are in place I will be spending some time at the new facility for training to make sure that our customers are provided with the same level of quality they have come to expect. I also look forward to helping the Georges man the store on Commercial Row at Camp Perry this year.
Long term I am very much looking forward to what John-Alistair, Marylee, and Ben can do. I have seen their drive and passion for the sport and know they will continue to bring the products and services you need.
Again, it has been a pleasure serving this community for these last 30 or so years. I plan to still be around shooting and staying involved, but also look forward to getting to work on my bucket list.
Gratefully,
John Holliger

John and his Son, Ben, have ventured to our hunting property a few years ago for a hog hunt. They are just great people! They have also ventured up to Mike Bryant's ranch and took a couple of nice whitetails. Though I don't shoot service rifle, John was kind enough to build one for me. John loves and collects custom rifles from the old masters. He has some real treasures.

John Holliger brought pinned A2 rears to the mainstream. His post on .223 loads is still my magna carta. By now, it's commited to memory. If a barrel doesn't like RL15, Varget or H4895, your upper has other problems.

Thanks for fun times and great products, but I get it that you want to start winding down.
