Printable Annealing Project

So me and my brother have spent quite a while designing a case and dropper for a hot rod annealer that is water cooled. It started out as a project that was going to be a lot simpler and than it ended up.

It ended up turning into a fun project that seems like it might be something some of you might be interested in building.

Originally was going to just build a GinnaEric annealer but couldn't decide on a case design and didn't think I wanted to get to complicated with electronics. Decided to try to do a hot rod build that is water cooled.

Final product.

Going to try to do a build write up with pictures.

How is the hot rod different from the GinaErick build. There are not that many parts to marry together for the GE design. Just curious what’s under the cover of your induction annealer??

Very nice work no doubt. But why does it need to be water-cooled. I have never had the occasion where I needed to stop within 50 cases without the water cooled coils. At that point I stop and place the device in a trough with a fan mounted in the end for cooling purposes. By the time I have the cases placed back in the load block it is cool enough to go 50 more cases if I needed to.

Probably not completely necessary. Haven't tried to run it with the water cooling removed. Would be easy to use it that way and worth trying. The radiator cut out could be left empty or you could add another fan or just delete the opening completely. I think the coil might get hot enough to melt the plastic where it goes through the front cover without it being cooled but that could be fixed by making slightly larger holes for the coil. If somebody want to try it that way it would be easy enough to get some modifications done to the files.

Working on doing a video on the build instead of a write up with pics. Started trying to write something up and realized I should probably go back to school.
Be interested in watching it when finished. Good work on the project.
