Anschutz 1517

Looking for a .17 HMR for a PDog trip this summer. Anyone have experience with an Anschutz Model 1517 HB?

I think I have what you are looking for. It’s an Anschutz 1517 on the barrel. It has a stainless steel heavy barrel. I bought it approximately 10 years ago and never fired it. I will send pics to your cell phone if you want. I would call it near mint. If it’s what you want, make me an offer that I can’t refuse.

Not 17HMR but I have a 1516 in 22 magnum. Shot 3/4" at 100 yards. Nailed prairie dogs at 140 yards - when I got the South Dakota winds correctly judged. I think you'll be very happy with one.

My Annie 1517D HB in 17HMR is one of my choices for rockchucks here on some of the small ranches I shoot where noise is a factor. Very effective with Hornady 17gr Varmint Express if I keep my shots under 250 yards and take only head shots.



Sweet little rifles. I sold my CZ 452 Varmint 17HMR after a few outings with the Annie.

I owned one for a while. Very solid shooter. Definitely more accurate than the available ammo.
