New player (chronograph) on the block

Competition is good for the consumer, generally in both price and features.

Impatiently awaiting these units to hit the shelves...think I may have read somewhere April release and street around $350.00.

Looks like this will be the final nail for Labradar.
I have my doubts about LabRadar dying. I had a big LabRadar that work great right up to the point where I'm pretty sure I burnt it up with a new "hi-tec" battery pack. I had it from the time they first came out till the week they started shipping the new LX version, with none of the problems bitched about here. So I bought the new LX version. It has been working great for me. I have used the LX with probably 8 different Garmin with absolutely no problems from any of them. Now comes Athlon and Caldwell. I have had at best, mediocre luck with Caldwell, no luck with their electronics and my Athlon experience wasn't any better. I wish them all the luck and I hope they work out but I'm not selling my LX or holding my breath.

Im thinking about getting one of these Athlons. Just hesitant since i cant find any info on anyone testing them
