Gun parts that turn into new guns...

I've had wrong ammo turn into a way to unload it, just to get dies and see how good I could reload it.

Are we supporting our reloading habit by shooting, and shooting to support our 'smithing hobby? I don't have a lathe yet, so for now I only assemble those spares that need righty tighty. I haven't figured out how to turn left yet.

Lol, extra chamber flag... Well, it needs a chamber to support it's storage!

I'm wondering how many of ya had a gun project in mind, and bought a lathe to go along with it?? Or a mill? :p There's some real weirdos around here -- glad I'm not one of em. ;) jd
I was looking into machinest course at the adult education near my work. Ive almost talked myself into going back to school and starting my career life over.

You guys have to have a reason or an excuse to buy a new rifle? What a bunch of Moma's boys. You buy a new rifle cause you want to, logic, or reason has nothing to do with it. I had to retire because I didn't have enough time to get my rifle shooting, cleaning and reloading done after work and on weekends.

I started working as a machinist 18 years ago with the main logic being the need to know machining in order to work on rifles.
Now there’s the shop, the lathe, the mill, and endless other tools, just for a "stupid hobby". How's that for weird logic?

I had a 338 Federal project that didn’t work out so I rebarreled to 308, leaving me with 750 various 338 bullets. I put the bullets away in a tote to be discovered a couple years later. Component prices took off so I thought I’d have to get a rifle to shoot them out of. Found a Sako AV laminated stock in 338 WM with a 3.5x10 Leupold and bought it. Dies and brass hanging around from a long gone 338 WM.

The price and condition of of the AV was too tempting.

Yeah, you talk pretty tough when your wife and mama aint around. ;) jd

Hmmm...I have a stock that has been waiting for 15 years for a 700 SA 223 BF so I can build a 6x45. And I just bought a 686 leather holster cheap for the 38 and 357 brass and bullets and dies I have for the 686 I don't have...

Nope, I know nuthin of the malady you mention...
