FYI - The Barnes MRX bullets (Maximum Range X) have a tungsten core at the base. The tungsten is heavier than copper, thereby creating a shorter overall bullet length than a standard TSX or TTSX of the same weight. This decreases the amount of powder space the bullet takes up in the case, which can be a problem with the standard all-copper Barnes bullets. Neat idea, but the addition of the tungsten made the MRX a very expensive bullet, which is why Barnes only packaged them 20 to a box to seemingly decrease the sticker shock. They were only on the market a few years.

I have used them and they work really well and are only a little less accurate than the TSX line. All groups could be kept less tha 1 moa. You could avoid compressed loads and get better penetration. The price doomed them as it did the old Speer AGS tungsten core.

Forgot to mention that I used them in a .300 WSM and took a lot of deer and elk with them
