The Remington 6BR is just a few thousands shorter and if you chamber a NORMA 6BR the bolt will close and fire... But the case will come out with a slight amount of inward folding at the mouth of the case..Could be slight differences if your 7 BR brass was made as 7 BR, but most of it came from expanding the neck on 6BR Brass. Could be from a 6BR Norma or a 6BR Remington so there’s also that.
I do like your Az sunset Avatar... Reminds this expat of home...The only difference between a 7BR and 6BR is the neck size and length. 7BR has a Max case length of 1.520" while 6BR(Norma) has a max case length of 1.560".
I have used both a 6BR and 7BR bushing die to make 6.5BR with no problems.
When I was shooting in IHMSA 20+ years ago most folks were necking up 6BR Lapua.I should have worded that better. I'm just wondering if I can size 6br cases with the 7br die, assuming I use the appropriate bushing. I don't know how long Redding has been making the Type S die, but I'm guessing it's standard BR dimensions and not Remington BR. I'll give it a shot, and report back.
