Anyone else using Moly??

Anyone else out there using Moly to shoot long range? Not sure if I’m using it wrong, but every time I try it, all it makes me want to do is strip my clothes off, dance and have sex. Unfortunately, it seems all of these activities are highly frowned upon at F class shooting competitions. Also, with the EDM music blasting so loud on my Bluetooth Walkers electronic hearing protection, I can’t ever hear the range commands. One guy said I needed to put it on my bullets, but the tiny capsules keep exploding all over the ground when I try to open them on the range. Not sure about you guys, but screw this Moly stuff, I’m going to stick to a few Tequilas after the shooting is done for the day.

I've mollying my bullets for over 15 years using the wet method . It's not "en-vogue" now but I sleep better at night. Just my .02c

Just scrubbed a mess of it from my barrel on a recent rifle purchase. Makes me wonder if thats why it was sold. Tack driver now

I've shot moly in absolutely everything since Neco came out with their patented process.

There is no downside in properly applied impact plated moly bullets.

Dave, I think that you stayed up way too late. And got the wrong moly! Next time try the downers vs the uppers. LOL

Going back 25+ years yes got on the Moly Train. I shot in the Mid West with those Wisconsin Barrel Makers. The Guy we always want to be around Boots Obermeyer Mr. 5R. Boots was into Freezing Barrel Blanks and Moly back then.
If Boots did it had to be good. After all He Won most matches.

I stop Moly about 5-7 years ago gave the set up to Guy in Arizona.
I do to this day think it has it's benefits.

I Wet moly everything from Grass Rats to 1000yds.
Even Molied a .375 Ruger 260gr Accubond for a Bear in Kamchatka.

After trying moly I decided less is more. Like my women and bullets naked. Nothing against it, I have shot a bunch of moly bullets. Have gotten some pretty good deals on moly bullets. I just never saw the benefit. When you get a black cleaning patch out of the bore is it carbon or moly?

No - but I just took some off a box of 123g Lapua's by tumbling them in sand. After a good clean in the wet tumbler, I'll probably use them at the club. Be interesting to see how they shoot with their aerodynamic finish.
