14 caliber case cleaning.

I just recently purchased a couple of 14 caliber barrels for my Contender. A 14 Hornet and a 14-221.

My question to those of you shooting the small stuff.

What process are you using to clean your cases.

I have a RCBS vibratory cleaner with fine walnut media but fear the cases will be hard to get all the media cleaned out of them.

If you feel the need to tumble them, I'd go wet tumble with the small diamond chips used for circuit board cleaning. Two thoughts here. 1: Do you really need to tumble clean them? and 2: Be careful on those necks and don't leave them tumbling too long.

My own stuff, I just wipe the lube off.

I was just wondering how to remove the Hornady case lube that I used inside the necks during case forming new cases.
Thinking I will just use some alcohol in a plastic bowl and swirl ten or so around at a time. Then onto a towel to air dry.

Thanks for the replies.

Interesting to hear of the future results down the road ;-).

Sonic cleaner.....nothing to get stuck.

I recently switched from 10 minute wet tumbling to sonic cleaning to clean turning lube off large batches of 20VT....very effective with no risk of peening.
