Speer 0.224" 52gr HPBT Match

Has anyone had any luck with this bullet? I bought about 1K of them about 3 years ago and have not had time to use them yet. I also have about 1K of the 52gr Varmint HP bullets. Just wondering how they were compared to other bullets out there in this range.

I plan on working uploads with RL10x or RL7. I have 500 new Starline coming in tomorrow. I also have Federal GMM SR primers and Remington Match SR primers. Going to be used for 100 and 200yd Prairie Dog Match shoots.

Don't know about the 1036 bullets, but I shot a boatload of the 1035s, the 52 gr FB HP, out of my Swift. Spectacular on g-hogs, more so on crows.... Sub-1/2" factory M77-V, and those bullets did as well on paper as anything else. I pushed them pretty hard, too. Ranges were 400 yd max, usually not more than 200-300, velocity just ever so slightly under 4000fps.

I didn't see anything above about your chambering.....

Used to use the Silver match version way back. Would rank it with the H52/53, Nosler 52 and the Sierra 52/53 Match varieties. And the Varmint version would make a 222 hit look like a 22-250 hit!

I get stellar results with 24.5gr of N133 in my Savage 223 Mdl 11. 1-12 twist. Kinda finicky about COL.

Have shot many a groundhog with them ( Speer 52 gr FBHP ) plus crows with a Contender .223, .223 in a bolt rifle, AR 15, and in a 22-250. Accuracy was good out of all of them and the bullet made big holes. I’m running them in the AR but have only shot them out to 300 yards.

The 52gr FP HP is my go-to bullet for coyotes in my 222 Rem, 223, 5.6x50R Mag, 22-250 and 22-250AI. Accuracy is superb and it seems to be a reliable coyote killer no matter what speed you run them

Shot a handful of coyotes w the big hp ones in a 222. Stops em quick. And fur friendly to.

The 1035 bullet is my go to in three of my 22-250s.....
