243 Bullet recommendation for deer

Was checking my emails today and had a email about 85g smk hpbt pulls. When I checked the site they had one order of 250 count. For $60 I figured would give them a try. Still planning on maybe getting the game changer or Berger vlds.
Only thing that caught me off was they had them smk but pretty sure that they are sgk the ones everyone one here mentioned

SIERRA 6mm(.243)85gr HPBT BULLET GAMEKING 100/bx

SIERRA 6mm(.243)85gr HPBT BULLET GAMEKING 100/bx
Item #:SRA1530

This SRA1530 is the bullet you should be looking for. Sierra makes another 85gr bullet which I have no experience with. $60 for a box of 250 sounds pretty low to me. JME. WD
They were pulls which I have ordered from them before and been very pleased. It was very low so for the price I would just see what they are

Couple of days late but I've been running the 95 gr. SST's out of my 243 for the last 20 years or so and the results have been nothing short of remarkable. Countless deer by my hand and others, and none of them have as much as taken a step. MV out of the the 788 carbine is 2750'ish.
those bullets shoot great in my 7-08 w factory Hornady load

Federal Fusion 95 grain bonded bullets are fantastic in a 243. I've at times seen them for sale to reload but seems they are hard to find. Grand daughter uses the loaded fusion ammo from Federal and kills two bucks a year with them. Very good bullets.

Finally popped one this last weekend… pretty tragic out of my sons Tikka!

I have a 6mmARC that I wanted to hunt with this year. I had a bunch of the Sierra 85s from a .243 that I rebarreled to 6mmBR, and they shot knots right away. Also tried the 95SST and the 90TGK, but the 85 shot way better right away. Ended up buying a new box of the 85s, and the CBTO was different with the new bullets, but it resolved quickly, back to sub ¾" MOA groups. I'd probably get that same accuracy from the other two bullets, but the 85s got there first, and have a stellar rep as a game bullet. I'll look into the others going forward, but the 85 has set the bar in my mind.
I shot my buck this year with that load, ran 25-30 yards and dropped.

I agree with others that there are plenty of good game bullets for the 6mm/.243, so find the one that shoots best in your rifle, and focus on good shot placement.
