New complete build for a good friend. From start to finish.

Don't feel bad. I had to stock finished ready to ship out to a customer on this website. Clear coated buffed out looked great it was a bench stock. I reached over the stock to shut out the lights bumped it with my arm it fell off of what it was sitting on then before I could catch it the front end slid off the front of the bench and the whole thing fell on the floor and bounced around, rolled around on the five legged stool that I sit on. Bumps and bruises everywhere completely finished ready to go to the customer. So as much as I know you're pissed off just chuck it up the shit happens and like Brett says use it for a test pattern and move on. I know easier said than done good luck.

I also dropped a finished stock of expensive walnut……it happens

So cool that Brett is consulting/helping

I think you could throw in yellow around the action and fade it in to the purple for true LSU colors , use steel wool to blend

Ya really haven't lived until your 3" polisher violently rips a cheek piece outta your hands flinging it across the shop, or make the dreaded phone call I dropped 1 of your twin's on its ass on the concrete just as your gettin ready to spray it....
I walk with clenched butt cheeks every day because one thing I know for certain it's not if but when will the next "Oh Shit !!" moment will happen.

I supervise 10 Troopers. I live in “clenched mode” just waiting for the next oh shit, LOL.

Chris will have this back on track by Tuesday. He is determined and makes things happen. But I got to admit when he called me today he sounded sick.

When we spoke i could hear and feel the pain in his voice, he said he might've had a few words...

This maple has some really nice fire…
Drill through the grip from the bottom and epoxy a piece of 5/16 all-thread to prevent a crack or break in the grip area.

A lot of stock makers that make stocks with this style of grip on wood stocks either use a metal rod like I just explained, Or they use a hardwood dowel to go straight up from the bottom and glue it in.

Beautiful designed stocks you are making.
