No bounce cup?

I'll try to post a link below..

Let me know what you think after you print/use it.
Thanks.
Give me a few days and I'll let you know how it works.

The Area419 cup I bought for my Chargemaster really didn't work all that much better than the cheap assed thing that came with the dispenser. The handle was better for my arthritic hands though. Still, I think it was $70 I could have spent elsewhere. I'm hesitant to spend another $70 for the V4.

I guess I am fortunate because I don't really have a huge issue with my Autotrickler V4 cup as long as it is placed correctly. If it is positioned so the powder hits the side of the cup, there is almost no kernels lost.

I can load 100 rounds and find only 1-2 kernels around the base of the scale.

I doubt that the 2 cases that were 1 kernel short will show up on target.

I found this recently -haven't ordered one yet, but am thinking about it.

He sells them on ebay.

I have no interest or personal knowledge of this cup -just informational

Frank
ok, I ordered this as pulling kernels off the platen is a time consuming mess. Not an option to deal with.
I must say that every time I get something 3d printed, I am further impressed. It seems the quality of 3D printing is changing and it is yielding some very good products. This cup makes the 419 cup seem like child's play. The cup itself feels like it is made out of ceramic. Unreal it has the weight and texture of ceramic. It has the bump at the bottom and a rounded ridge at the top. Furthermore I asked the Ebay seller to make the cup to my exact height and to reduce the handle size to my exact specs. I havent used it yet, but my initial impressions are wow! I ordered on Friday and it arrived this morning. The seller was sitting in a treestand when I was talking to him about size specs. LOL. Fast service! And an exact fit platen stop is included.

update...just dropped 20, 50 grain charges of H4895. Followed by 20, 70 grain charges of H4895.
Nothing came out of the cup.
Aluminum extension came from @JustDreaming . I have had that in there since the beginning. It was used with Area 419 cup as well. This Ebay cup is night/ day difference from the Area 419. Less expensive too.
cant recall, but I think this cup weighed in around 890 grains.

I can say the bottom of the 3D printed cup isn't flat. Rather it resembles something Madonna would have worn on her chest in the 80's. :)
Before I send this to my printer, I would like to know if it requires any post-processing to fit?

Hey Guys, happy Thanksgiving! Does anyone make a cup (with similar dimensions as the one that comes with the FX120i) that the kernels don't bounce out of.

I know Varget resembles Flubber on a bad day. However in the age of 3D printers and "soft" plastics something has to be available.
No?

Thanks!!@
Good question. I’ve had the same problem dropping varget and RL15 in the past. The Area 419 cup works good with if you have the little nozzle cone to slow down the powder dropping. I forget who makes that little nozzle but someone will chime in.

This is what I have been using for 8 months. Not one granule has bounced out. You need to buy 2 so you can notch the one that is slightly heavier and get it to match the other so that you can dump the one into your case while the other is filling. I've gotten my pace to approx. 10 seconds per dump.

Me and my CAD software rather. I printed the original stl file but the cup was way to big to fit under the drop tube. I resized it down 25% and reprinted the stl file, and it now fits without issues.

Can you print another one about 10% than yours in the picture and I’ll pay you for it? I’m still in search of the holy grail of cups that won’t have powder all over the platen.

Did you put a little “volcano” bump up inside the cup? I’ve heard that really helps with bounce out.

The stl file which I downloaded from "thingiverse" already had a "volcano bump" on the inside of the cup. The only modification to that file which I made was to re-size it in my CAD software.

You can sort of see the "bump" on the inside of the cup in these pictures.

I see this cup needing a pour spout to aid toward pouring into the funnel.
