That's an understatement~!!!! When I was looking for brass all I could find was fired brass. I don't know what kind of reamer was used to cut the chamber in my early 80s built 6PPC, but every one of those formerly fired pieces had to have the houlders redone so that they would chamber in my rifle, and the cartridge lengths were all over the map. Lots of work!!6BR reins over the PPC mainly because of brass availability correct ?

Murray, how far off the lands are you with the 58. I shoot 64 bergers 5 off in my Sakos and theres only about .075 of the bullet in the neck.I believe the only V-max bullet you could shoot with a 14 twist in the PPC would be the 58 gr one. I have used it in my 6mm ppc USA and got good results but the 58 gr bullet of choice in my rifle is the Barnes 58 gr Varmintor. I use it with N-133 and Fed 205 primer in a Norma case. Shoots in the mid 2's when I do my part. Other powders that I have used and worked well were H-322, Benchmark, LT-32 and AA-2015.
Yes the 60 gr Sierra Varminter is the most accurate non custom bullet I have ever shot in my 6BR 14 twist. Close to Barts bullets.I thought i was shooting tight w the vmax’s until i shot the 60gr sierra! Wow. Dont overlook those old tried and true plain janes. Crows detonate.
I couldn't agree more! The Sierra 60gr Varminter shoots great in my 6ppcYes the 60 gr Sierra Varminter is the most accurate non custom bullet I have ever shot in my 6BR 14 twist. Close to Barts bullets.
