What is the necks turned on the 220 necked up to 6 mm
all new brass sold as of this evening. I have some multiple time fired 6ppc (~250 rounds), but not really sure its worth the effort to ship it, which is why I have not posted it yet. It is neck turned brass used in BR competition. While I have a micrometer, I don't trust myself to give accurate neck OD measurements with it enough to post :)

I bought some new .220 Russian brass and offered to measure some fired 6PPC brass the seller has in their possession. They sent me 3 cases to check and here is what I found.

The chamber it was previously fired in is a little longer than standard at 1.100" to the shoulder measured with a Sinclair 30 gauge. I bumped it back to 1.083 and it did fit my gun. The primer pockets are still fairly tight and had been cleaned and probably uniformed per my visual observation and I would estimate it has been through 4 or 5 firings at most but there is really no way to tell. The turned neck thickness ranged from .0081 to .0084 and one was .0082 so I am thinking that is the target thickness. I plan to load them with my normal load and shoot them as sighters and am sure they will function fine. After sizing I was able to chamber them in my .262 ppc barrel but I did re-turn the necks to uniform them and cut just a hair into the shoulder like I normally do. I think a fair price for the used 6PPC cases is $.75/ea plus shipping cost. If interested please contact the seller.

See the info above. It is turned for a .262 neck 6ppc and probably has 4 to 5 firings on it. The seller was great to deal with and packaging and shipping time was very good.
