Bob Sled 223 AI issues

Anyone running a Bob Sled 223 AI (loading long) successfully?
On my MDT chassis (no mag adjustment) my 2.482" COAL rounds are a no go. The ramp dosent raise the round high enough.

Shorter COAL rounds work AOK though.

I have the same setup, bobsled does not work. So I use a 308 mag in mine and it works great.

When using the 308 mag, are you just sitting the round on top or putting in the mag?

Setting the round on top of the mag, the lips help hold the round in place.

Had same problem in with my 223. Bought a 3D printed sled, used Devcon to buildup the ramp.
Now it works.

Ok... so I had 2 metal 308 MDT mags. Probably rebranded Accurate..
Anyways they worked somewhat. I had to fiddle around with where I placed the round. Honestly it was just as easy to load them into the chamber.

Had same problem in with my 223. Bought a 3D printed sled, used Devcon to buildup the ramp.
Now it works.

I used JB weld and built up the Bob Sled. Will give it a try when it cures.

I modified one to where it has a 223 slot deep into the top. It looks like a 223 sized canoe. The round has to pop the nose up significantly for an Ackley

There are cheap 3d printed sleds on ebay. I have them for every rifle. Might still need modified, but dang those metal sleds are expensive.

The BS sled is Delron (think hard plastic) with a metal catch.
