Wood stock, who?

I’ve been building a few rifles the last 3-4 years, the common denominator has been synthetic stocks, Manners, McMillan mostly but I’m really wanting to build a couple in the next 1-3 years that have wood stocks. Doan Trevor type of stocks is the best way I know to describe what I’m after. I’m obviously gonna reach out to Doan but I’m assuming his backlog is daunting maybe not.

Anyways, who else is out there making that type of a stock. I’d like to get my hands on some exhibition wood and really have a couple rifles built that with top shelf wood stocks and craftsmanship.

Ideas and input welcome.

You can get some very nice Claro blanks from them, I have done a few stocks from them and they are a little bit of work but they can be very nice stocks.

I have one in the Field Trekker model and am now looking at doing one in either the Benchmark Style or the Prone Culbertson. Just cannot decide if I want to do it in Walnut or Laminate.

Steve McGee still had some blanks from when he was doing stocks. Darrel Landolt took most of his stock making stuff. He has carved a couple for me and they have been top notch.
