As a Barnard owner, I feel your angst. I’ve been shooting a 7mm Barnard with a bent extractor for some time now praying it doesn’t go south in a match.I have a very nice Barnard in 284 and was trying to buy some spares, only to find out they are gone, sadly. Called Whidden, their last US representativ, and they can’t get a response.
There’s a company in Australia making a run of extractors I saw on the Fullbore fb pageAs a Barnard owner, I feel your angst. I’ve been shooting a 7mm Barnard with a bent extractor for some time now praying it doesn’t go south in a match.
What about a trigger hanger to use 700 triggers ? I see a lot of people with broken trigger shoesyep, had springs made, and still have a few available....springs, like anything else, wear out. even if the didnt, they are cheap enough to replace and avoid hang fires or misfires if they get weak.
other parts are beginning to be made. had extractors on my list of parts to make, but if the ones being made in AU can get over here at a reasonable cost, will just import them. making extractors will go up higher on my project priority list if I end up needing one for one of my barnards or one of teh dozen or so I maintain the the junior shooter loaner trust.
Thanks. I have my hat in the ring for one if they decide to ship. There’s a company in Australia making a run of extractors I saw on the Fullbore fb page
