Sure does seem like a lot of people are selling their high dollar Encore while they can before manufacturing is turned loose on them! Lol

Doubt you’ll ever see that
I remember the stainless pro hunters were $750 or so new
If they can be close to that I’d be hsppu
I have 4 , one for me and each of my sons in 35 whelen since we can use them for primitive here
Would like to be able to buy quality decent priced barrels again in other calibers

MGM has been a favorite of my custom Encore Barrel manufacturers.

I have one of theres
I had a bad experience with ssk, excessive headspace, I wanted a working barrel more than anything, but they just refunded my money, which I did not want.
Anyway glad to see tc back
Would like some new contender pistols too

I’ve watched them…… I’m pretty pumped up! I’d like a 18” 308 with a Silencerco Omega on it for deer hunting!

I am hoping for some new barrels a well, as for all the older T/C frames and etc, I am sure the prices will increase as seen with Marlin rifles (JM), Colts made prior to CZ. What is old in new again and in demand.

Just my .02
Tim

If they were smart and came out with reasonable prices they would sell like crazy! Even their budget minded bolt rifles as well.

Around here a Contender setup is going for $1000:00 Encore $1,200.00 well that’s what they are asking don’t see many leaving the racks.
I don’t think anybody (or at least very few) is paying the stupid prices for TC stuff. It’s like gun show foolishness, stuff will sit for a decade until inflation eventually catches up to the price tag.

Speaking of Encores, bought one for my son when they first came out in 30 06. Then bought him a Begara. 243 barrel when they came out. I was under welmed with the accuracy of both. I found by using o rings to put pressure on the forend at the screw they became acceptable. Fast forward 20 years or so, son and grand kids have killed multiple deer and elk with them. Yes .243 Fed Fusion kills elk just fine. Great to live in Idaho were they do. Used Contender prices are crazy, I agree.

I am hoping parts appear. I need an Encore hammer. I've got a bunch, mostly custom barrels, one of Don Bowers 30 Alaskan 14 in Contender. Don claimed he shot an 8in 1000 yard group with it. Granddaughter started hunting with a 357 Max Contender carbine. Great platform to start kids. I stupidly parted with a Thompson Center Aristocrat (TCR '83) 3 barrel set.

Sadly it is normal for the industry to take advantage of the ignorant! I bet a lot of people have noidea that TC is going to be comming back from the dead!
