Griffin Armament Muzzle Brakes

Do many of you guys run Griffin Armament brakes? I was just wondering because I shoot an AR with a White Oak Upper 1/8 twist. I have it zeroed to do sub MOA all day long. Then I put a Dual Lok Tactical muzzle brake on it. Timed perfectly. Well something is wrong. My group opened up to about two inches! What the heck? By the way, I was using a 30 cal break because of the threading White Oak puts on their heavy barrels. 5/8 X 24. So there should not be an issue with a 22cal 77grain bullet going through the 30 cal hole? Right? So am I using the wrong brake for my can? I was thinking of trying a Minimalist Titanium to see if that made a difference, or maybe a Dual lock Paladin? But you can go broke trying different brakes. Anybody else have this problem?

I just want to put a Dual Lock Brake on my gun that still shoots accurately, so that if I decide to slip my Dual Lock can on it. I won't loose accuracy.

i have a direct thread 30 cal can that causes my 300 wsm and 260 rem rifles to shoot about 1.75 moa when installed. without the can the guns are easily sub moa guns with the exact same reloads. however on other guns the same can dosent affect their accuracy. i just chalk it up to changing barrel harmonics. but i’d also like an expert opinion.

I have the hammer taper mount on a 22,6.5 & 30 caliber. I have noticed a slight poi change, but not the group size opening up. When I mounted them, I used the shims and loctite 271. I didn’t torque them down per the instructions.

But isn't this exactly what tuners are designed to solve?

I agree, but it's something I'd like to try. Someone here was telling me that they can just pick a load, and dial it in with the tuner. I saw PMA has a tuner you can add a brake to also.
a guy i shoot with hat eric corinna’s ez or ec tuners. or whatever it’s called. he swears by it, however i can’t say his guns with the tuners outshoot my guns with just simple breaks with optimized loads. to each their own
