My new CZ 457 varmint.
Changed the stock for the KRG Bravo
Added the 20 MOA rail
And added a JARD trigger

Looks promising.
First 100 rounds of 3-4 different stuff I had laying around.
The top group was the last 7-8 of SK+ I had on my bench.
The lower was some Eley
Going to try some more and different Lapua ammo.

I have two rimfires, and both are kinda under operation at the moment.

This is what they looked like before my ADD got the best of me...

South Texas Arms PD22 with a Summit Precision Purple/Black Carbon Fiber barrel
Marlin XT-17 in the OE tupperware stock.

Today is 10/22!
One of my primary GS killers...Clark Custom, Boyd's lam T/H stock, Douglas air-gauged barrel cut to 16.5", all Volq internals, Leupold 3-9X rimfire scope with target turrets. It's killed about 3,000 of the little alfalfa munchers over the years. My rancher buddies love it, so do I. Not so much for the squirrels though.

Winchester 9422 Mag with Lyman tang peep sight (fun walkabout rifle!).

For work out a tad farther, my Anschutz 1715 HB in 17 HMR and some rock chucks:

My rimfires greatly outnumber my CF's. Seems a guy just can't have too many.

So, this is my first build from scratch. Bought a stripped down OEM 10/22 receiver from SAP Outfitters and went to town on my FrankenRooger.

It has a Feddersen 16.25" matte black bull barrel mounted to the OEM but cerakoted receiver (cerakote by Black Elk Customs), sitting in a Luth-AR MCA-22 chassis. It has a KIDD bolt and magazine latch plunger. From Tandemkross: the Spartan skeletonized charging handle, the Ultimate Trigger Kit w/ TK Disconnector, the Cornerstone Rotary Safety, and the "Bolt Keeper" - extended bolt lock. From Velocity Triggers is the extended mag release. The Area 419 Picatinny Rail @ 30 MOA sits on top of the receiver and a 12" Universal Arca Rail underneath. The is the Discovery 7-35x56 scope and 34mm/1.26" rings. I am going to use this for NRL22 so for weight up front is the Gray Ops M-Lok chassis weights.

First rounds through it on Friday with some CCI SV and then SK and Eley ammo.

It shot very well indeed. Better than I expected.

I am building a gun for each son, so two more to go, unless I keep this for me :) then there's three more to go.

This has been quite a bit of fun, but I think I dug my rabbit hole with a backhoe.
