Winchester model 12 question

I bought a model 12 in 16 gauge awhile back and just started recently playing with it. What I noticed is the mag tube has allot of play in it. When I put the barrel and mag in reassemble everything I can spin magizine tube. Tube really only spins left if I go right take down pin hits barrel. Just seems that it's not tighting at all. It all stays connected when working slide but has to be something I'm missing to make sure it doesn't move and properly tightens, plus pin against barrel will mess bluing up. I took few pics to try and show.

I've read about some guys saying that there's had little play granted it's first one I've owned, just surprised me that it doesn't actually tighten.
Try to put a wrap of scotch tape between the magazine tube and the clamp in picture 3. If that does the trick you can use something more permanent and less noticeable.

I got curious and looked at my 12 ga.

It appears that maybe the mag tube should be pushed a bit further
down toward the receiver before turning the tube to tighten it.

There are arrows stamped into the bottom of the mag tube and the receiver
extension-----these arrow should align when the tube is properly tightened.

Many of the old M12's have been around long enough to eventually
fall into the hands of idiots-----don't be surprised at anything you find.

There is a pin at the top of the mag tube that you use to tighten the mag tube with, Because this model 12 you have is a take-down model. The pin can be pushed and pulled to give clearance as you tighten it.

Maybe this is not the original mag tube? The finish looks off.

Started getting the thought maybe it isn't original. Everything goes as should but just doesn't tighten when pin is fully turned and should be normally tight.
